La obesidad es una enfermedad médica crónica (a largo plazo) que consiste en tener demasiada grasa corporal. Los profesionales sanitarios pueden diagnosticar la obesidad mediante una cifra denominada índice de masa corporal (IMC). El IMC se calcula a partir de la altura y el peso actuales. Para la mayoría de las personas, cuanto más alto sea su IMC, más grasa corporal tienen. Se considera que una persona tiene sobrepeso si su IMC es >25 kg/m2 y que tiene obesidad si su IMC es >30 kg/m2. Algunos culturistas y atletas tienen un IMC elevado, pero tienen más masa muscular que la media y no se considera que tengan obesidad. La obesidad es diferente del sobrepeso, que significa pesar demasiado. El peso puede proceder de los músculos, los huesos, la grasa y/o el agua corporal. Ambos términos significan que el peso de una persona es superior a lo que se considera saludable para su estatura.

How will I receive my reports?
The first thing to do when you receive your kit is to register it on your Genome Manager account. Dante's proprietary platform will keep you up-to-date on all stages of your genetic journey, providing you with the real-time status of your sample and where you can download your free report and raw data* at any time.

How can I add other reports to my account?
At any time, you can log into your Genome Manager account and visit the Shop section. Here you will find a catalog with more than 150 additional reports dedicated to all areas of health. In addition, by subscribing to our newsletter you can always see new reports and panel updates.
