Transthyretin amyloidosis is a slowly progressive condition characterized by the buildup of abnormal deposits of a protein called amyloid (amyloidosis) in the body's organs and tissues. These protein deposits most frequently occur in the peripheral nervous system, which is made up of nerves connecting the brain and spinal cord to muscles and sensory cells that detect sensations such as touch, pain, heat, and sound. The Amyloidogenic transthyretin amyloidosis test analyzes all common and rare variants associated with Amyloidogenic transthyretin amyloidosis disease.
This test is indicated for individuals with a personal or family history of ATTR to confirm the diagnosis. In addition, this test is also indicated for the differential diagnosis between familial TTR-related amyloidosis and other forms of amyloidosis and for determining carrier status for known mutations.
The analysis takes into consideration the mutation of germline DNA, it investigates SNP and Indel mutations up to 150 bp.

• Available in less than 24 hours
• Based on Whole Genome Sequencing
• 5 genes analyzed
• Investigates SNP and Indel mutations up to 150 bp

  • 1.

Using a simple at home blood sample, we can collect the 100% of your DNA and analyze the genetic sequence in our lab.

  • 2.

The sequence is divided into several parts, amplified, grouped in clusters and then sequenced.

  • 3.

This sequencing process reveals the order of nucleotides that make up the original DNA sample.

  • 4.

We then compare the genome with a generic and globally recognized reference DNA sequence.
