Secondary Hypogonadism Panel

This product is only meant for customers who already purchased a Dante Genome Test

Secondary Hypogonadism panel is used to identify genetic variants associated with secondary hypogonadism, a condition characterized by decreased production of sex hormones due to dysfunction of the hypothalamus or pituitary gland. Secondary hypogonadism can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetic mutations, tumors, and radiation therapy. This panel tests for genetic variants that can affect the function of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, as well as variants that can affect hormone production and signaling in the gonads.
This panel is recommended for individuals with symptoms of hypogonadism, such as decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and infertility. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent complications such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease. Genetic testing can also provide information on the risk of transmission to future generations.

The analysis takes into consideration the mutation of germline DNA, it investigates SNP and Indel mutations up to 150 bp.
